The Cawdrone node
Cawdrone is a compact, pole-mounted sensing unit installed by two people and a ladder — no civil works, no trenching, no specialist operators. Solar-powered and self-sufficient through harsh winters, each node watches its surroundings and reports.
Simple to deploy
Pole-mount, solar and battery power, self-registering. Commissioned with local hosts, remotely supervised — no on-site engineers.
Quiet by design
A node is not armed for community alerting until it passes an extended silent-watch test. Any unprompted alert during commissioning disqualifies it. Silence is the quality gate.
Plain-language alerts
Warnings say what the threat likely is, how confident the system is, and what residents should do — understandable without an app, by anyone.
How you buy it
Not a capital project. Communities subscribe per node, per month — an operating expense sized to fit inside existing alert-budget lines, with maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement included. Pilots come first, published metrics follow, conversion only after the numbers stand.
